A Window to the Fatherland

We begin tonight’s edition of A Window to the Fatherland with Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from the book of his collected works.

Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:

Today I read my poem of Kurdistan because I believe the regime has plotted against our Kurdish people and is planning to assassinate their leaders Kak Abdullah Mohtadi and Kak Mustafa Hejri.

The plot is shaping under a plan by the Norwegian government which is trying toarrange direct talks between the Iranian Kurdish opposition groups and the regime, apparently under the guise that Rouhani has now agreed to enter negotiations with them.

But Rouhani’s government has now dissolved into the Revolutionary Guards and there is every possibility that the whole plan is to eliminate the Kurdish leaders as they have done in the past.

I contacted Kak Mohtadi and asked him to explain more about this matter and he has promised to come to our studio and talk about it.

In the meantime, we know how our Kurdish brothers and sisters in our country are suffering from repression, unemployment and discriminations but the solution to their problems does not lie in talks with a regime that has denied our entire nation from their human and civil rights.

Our guests tonight to discuss these issues are Mohsen Khatami and Koroush Zaim.

Koroush Zaim:

We have made it quite clear to the rulers of Iran that we are not after any military coup or bloody rioting or waging a civil war against them and theymust believe that we love our country and want peace and progress for its people.

We want to rebuild our country from many years of mismanagement and destruction and for that are asking them to leave the scene peacefully and allow us, and even many decent and clean people among the establishment itself, to join hands and rebuild Iran.

To achieve this aim we must abolish all courts of revolution and overhaul our constitution and hold democratic elections for a transition government based on the UN’s charter of human rights and under international observers.

Soon we will be publishing our manifesto for this purpose and we invite all Iranian opposition groups and individuals of all political tendencies to comment on it and unite for bringing change to our country.
