We begin tonight’s edition of A Window to the Fatherland with Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from the book of his collected works.
Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:
We continue the program with paying tribute to the memory of the late Abbas Amir Entezam who died last year today and listen to a message from his widow, Elahe.
Then we talk to our special guest of every Thursday, Dr. Mohsen Sazegara, for his views about news of Iran and the Middle East.
Mohsen Sazegara:
I also pay my respect to the memory and legacy of the late Mr Entezam and believe his struggle for democracy for Iran will live in the minds of every Iranianpatriot forever.
I am sorry that due to a flooding in Washington the wiring system in our small studio has been affected and my voice may be crackling a little bit.
I must say that I keep receiving messages from our fellow Iranians who tell us that IraneFarda TV channel is one of the most trusted sources for reporting and analyzing the Iranian affairs and they all wish us to be successful in our struggle for democracy and human rights in Iran.
Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:
Thanks to all our colleagues at IraneFarda, from the first day we have shown that we are not after any personal ambition and our only aim is to help our people to achieve their democratic aspirations and a better future and an end to their numerous social and economic problems.
Mohsen Sazegara:
I have been wondering in recent days as to why the revolution in Iran which started with so much radicalism and destructive motion has not yet settled and once again 40 years later it is still producing the same extremist policies and behaviour.
During the time of Rafsanjani we were on course to some kind of rationality and realism but then the Ahmadinejad era started with all his cheap politics and insane radicalism.
Nowadays the commanders of the Revolutionary Guard speak in a radical language that they did not use even 40 years ago.
Sadly a mixture of this destructive radicalism and superstitious propaganda has taken their toll on the fabric of our society and are eroding the rational thinking of our people.
