A Window to the Fatherland

We begin tonight’s edition of A Window to the Fatherland with Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from the book of his collected works.

Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:

We continue the program with talking to our special guest of every Thursday, Dr. Mohsen Sazegara, for his views about news of Iran and the Middle East.

I wish to welcome the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan. However, I believe this is the most unwelcome Ramadan in our history when our fellow Iranian people cannot even buy a kilo of dates to brake their fast and the price ofbread is set according to the value of US dollar on black markets.

The corrupt regime responsible for this untold suffering of our people has now decided to escape its eventual collapse by mobilizing its Iraqi mercenaries and as the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has warned they have been planning to attack US forces base in Iraq.

Out of the 8000 foreign forces stationed in Iraq 6800 of them are Americans whoaccording to Iraqi MP Adel Abdulkarim are still providing the support to uproot the ISIS terrorists.

I do not know how Khamenei wants to take Iran into another war when he knows very well that he will be defeated and the country will be ruined.

Dr. Mohsen Sazegara:

Just like you, I have been following the news of the last few days with great concern.

The Islamic Jihad began firing rockets into Israel by the order of the Tehran regime and the Israeli air force responded by killing some senior Palestinian figures.

There have also been reports of terrorist bombing in Saudi petrochemical refineries and US have put their forces in the region or red alert.

No doubt if the Iranian regime attempts to do something stupid to divert attention from the problems it is facing at home the Americans will respond with fullforce.

So, as you rightly said, we have started the holy month of Ramadan with fear instead of peacefulness, which is the essence of this holy month.
