A Window to the Fatherland

We begin tonight’s edition of A Window to the Fatherland with Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from the book of his collected works.

Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:

This last Saturday was a sad and special day for us as we buried our long-standing colleague the late Nasser Mohammadi. He was a patriot and loved his beloved country of Iran and has now joined many others of our friends who have died in exile, while all of them have wished their bodies be returned to Iran when the country rid itself from the claws of its tyrannical regime.

I was looking at the shows that the regime is staging for the Muharram. They execute four Young Iranian Kurds and callously attack the headquarters of the Iranian Kurdish opposition groups with missiles and massacre 16 innocent people, but no religious leader opens their mouth to condemn these atrocities during this holy month that is supposed to honour humanity.

Khomeini was a murderer and criminal but now his grand children sit under air conditioners and mourn the death of Imam Hossein in Karbala.

If Khomeini had not killed his way to power allthose who follow his dark ideology would be simple mullahs receiving state handouts to live on. But now they are the rulers of Iran and take photos with Mohammad Khatami to say that they are “reformists”.

The only voice of dissent from Iran’s religious establishment is not to condemn the human rights abuses of our people or oppose the massacre of innocent Kurds, but against Muslims slashing their skull with a machete during the Muharram processions!

The Christians too have religious ceremonies but their presidents do not turn their cabinet meetings into mourning for the fructification of Jesus Christ, as Rouhani did the other day for Imam Hossein.

The reactionary ideas of the Iranian regime haseven reached the shores of Britain by establishing a religious university that gives doctorate degree in research in the life of the missing twelfth Imam of the Shias!

In the second part of the program we will look at the works of a charity that buys clothes and shoes for the deprived children of Iran’s Baluchestan province.

We will also look at the degradation of the Iranian passport since the coming to power of the Islamic republic, in comparison with the passports of the citizens of the Unite Arab Emirate who can now travel to 176 countries without any visa.

The lies and deception of the regime have taken a new dimension by claiming that the Prince Reza Pahlavi has become an ally of the Saudis in his opposition to the regime.

Ahmadinejad has slammed Hossein Taeb, the repressive head of the Guards Intelligence Unit, as well as Amoli Larijani, the corrupt head of judiciary, forgetting that they both served under his administration andimprisoned and murdered many of his opponents.
