A Window to the Fatherland

We begin tonight’s edition of A Window to the Fatherland with Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from the book of his collected works.

Dr Alireza Nourizadeh:

Nowruz is here now and I have never seen the regime so weak, desperate and shaky before.

Despite all the miseries that it has brought upon our people, the Iranians are welcoming Nowruz with a great deal of hope for a brighter future without the regime ruling over them.

Nowruz is an occasion for the revival of nature and celebration of life.

However, as a result of decades of repressing our people by its despotic policies and bringing calamities on them through its devastating foreign and regional policies, the Islamic republic regime has hardly left any cause for celebration among our people.

Thus celebrating Nowruz is in itself a way if showing their disregard for the regime by our people.

Now the regime has started the staged show of putting on trial a group of people involved in the petrochemical corruption case to avert the attention of our people from the real figures behind this yet another multi bullion dollar theft of our nation’s wealth by those close to the Khamenei’s circle and the Revolutionary Guard.

They have been involved in bypassing the sanctions through selling Iran’s petrochemical products on international markets and putting the payments into their private accounts, never returning them to the state.

This sham trial is happening while the case of Babak Zanjani, even a greater corruption, has been going on with the man exerting his influence over the bought judges and officials from his prison cell.
