We begin tonight’s edition of A Window to the Fatherland with Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from the book of his collected works.

We continue the program with a discussion with our special guest Dr. Hossein Lajevardi about how the regime’s ideologue Hassan Abbasi has been uttering nonsense about the US and “Iran’s conditions to negotiate with Washington”!
Dr. Hossein Lajevardi:
We must look at this regime and its members and followers as a whole system of thinking that goes back to the ideas of its founder.
I believe every contemporary Iranian leader has had positive and negative aspects in their leadership. Reza Shah served Iran greatly but had some political shortcomings.
Mossadeq promoted democracy for Iran but also made some errors of judgment in his nationalist movement.
Even Khomeini contributed something to our country by brining out the charlatans like Abbasi and exposed their true thinking to the public.
We used to respect the clergy before they became the political power of the country. But when in power Khomeini showed us his hypocrisy and removed his mask.
We have carried out a survey and found out that only 6-8.5% of the Iranians follow this regime and its religious ideology. More than 27% of Iranians are now anti-religion and 13% of them have converted from Islam into other religions.
Another aspect of our survey has found that 80 percent of Iranians now find their identity in the pre-Islamic period and it is no wonder that they converge on the tomb of Cyrus the Great.
Iranians still see themselves in the mirror of their empire. Iran is not just a country, it is a cultural entity that has survived throughout centuries.
