A Window to the Fatherland

We begin tonight’s edition of A Window to the Fatherland with Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from the book of his collected works.

Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:

We continue the program with looking at Khamenei’s claim of his regime turning Iran into one of the top four Asian countries in terms of their economic power and scientific achievements by the Persian Year of 1444, which is in 42 years time!

We put it to him in a simple question; what has the Islamic republic regime done over the last 40 years of its existence?

We had a fast developing country with a happy population who could have turned Iran into one of the most advanced countries of the world with some political reforms 42 years ago.

But look at it now. Iran’s teachers are on national strike and our schools are closed. Our truck drivers have stopped operating across the country and millions of Iranians live under poverty line, and yet, Mr. Khamenei has some nerves to claim that his tyrannical regime is turning Iran into a “new Japan”!!

But why does Khamenei make such claims? Precisely because he is a very intelligent man and knows very well what he and his despotic regime have done to our country. He is fully aware of the massive dimensions of corruption and graft among his regime’s officials.

How can he not know that the governor of his national bank has stolen $3billion and fled Iran, or the sons of his confidante and advisor, Ali Akbar Velayati, have made millions of dollars through nepotism?

Khamenei can say anything he wants about the future of Iran, but our people’s message to him on the streets of the country is that they have reached a point that they will not settle for anything less than the removal of his regime from power and building a truly new and progressive Iran.

In the second part of the program we will look at the report of the Revolutionary Guard’s Semnan Unit purchasing gold decorations for local religious shrines, estimated to have cost the nation more than 800 million tomans!

We should not be surprised by this waste of ourpeople’s wealth by the regime’s officials, as Khomeini, the man who lied to the nation for ten years and killed thousands of our young people, has a majestic mausoleum that equals to all religious shrines of the Islamic world put together.

Khomeini was most of the time unconscious during his last years of life, and yet, was conscious enough to issue fatwas for the execution of his opponents.

It is heartbreaking to see that in a country that the regime connected bogus investment companies steal millions of dollars of our people’s savings and the regime is concerned about the gold decoration for the shrines of unknown “religious leaders” who have lived centuries ago.

The Jamal Khashoogi’s story has reached critical stage now and it appears that Trump’s comment about it spells a sinister outcome.
