A Window to the Fatherland

We begin tonight’s edition of A Window to the Fatherland with Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from the book of his collected works.

Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:

We continue the program with talking to our special guest of every Thursday, Dr. Mohsen Sazegara, who would share his expert views about Iran’s latest news and current affairs with us.

We salute the heroic people of Kurdistan who have unanimously protested against the execution of the three Kurdish youth at the hands of the tyrannical Islamic republic regime by shutting down all their shops and bazaars.

Dr. Mohsen Sazegara:

I also offer my sincere condolences for the martyrdom of these three young Iranian Kurds and support the national protests against the regime’s action.

Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:

I believe the heroic people of Iranian Kurds are now playing the role that the Azerbaijan of Iran played in the Constitutional Revolution of 1905.

Dr. Mohsen Sazegara:

What the Iranian Kurds are doing against the Iranian regime can be compared to the secret liberation movement that fought against the Nazis in the Second World War. Kurdistan of Iran has historically acted as a fortress of resistance against the regime and its youth are at the forefront of this freedom movement for all of Iran.

You also mentioned about Rouhani who has talked about the possibility of a war. What war? The Iranian people are not at war with any country or people.

Rouhani and Khamenei are creating this atmosphere of fear to justify their policies, instead of providing for the Iranian people.

Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:

The recent Gallop survey says that Iranians like the Palestinians are the most depressed people in the world. Why should our people be the saddest people in the world when the country has so much to offer to them to make them the happiest in the world?

Dr. Mohsen Sazegara:

The mullah Gharaati has said that Iran’s religious leaders have become the tear gas for the nation!

The mullahs of Iran do not even have the slightest education and knowledge about what really happened in Karbala 14 centuries ago. All they know about that event is how to make people cry so they can earn some money for themselves.

In this day and age all the rulers of the Islamic republic regime can do is tomake people weep.

May be a movement that advocates happiness and condemns the regime’s culture of death and mourning could be launched along with other forces of resistance against this tyrannical regime.

Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:

Even the pop music that our youth play is in itself a way of opposition to this regime of death and destruction.

Dr. Mohsen Sazegara:

I believe we have two parallel movements in Iran. One is the democracy movement, which takes its strength from the middle classes, civil servants, the intelligentsia and people involved in the media.

The second movement is run by the masses that are hungry, as we have seen theirburst in the recent uprisings across the country.

The moment these two movements unite and become one our struggle for freedom ofIran from the claws of this regime will become victorious.
