A Window to the Fatherland

We begin tonight’s program of A Window to the Fatherland with remembering the legendary Iranian singer the late Mrs Elahe.

We continue the program with watching a film about the harassment of street traders by the agents of the Tehran mayoral office in the repressive and despotic Iranian regime.

Later we will update you on the news of the trip to Turkey by general Bagheri, the chief of staff of Iran’s armed forces.

We follow this news with watching a video clip of an interview with the former Mayor of Tehran, Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf, and look at his political and military background and find out why the regime’s ideological dogmas turn educated people into vile personalities.

In the second part of the program we will once again return to the issue of Hassan Rouhani’s choice of cabinet members and his claim that he has not been under any pressure when selecting them.

At the end of the program we will look at the history of the role of Iran’s clerical establishment in Iranian society, pre and post Islamic Revolution.

Stay with us for this edition of A Window to the Fatherland and share this program with your friends and relatives.

We look forward to hearing your views and comments about the issues covered in tonight’s program.
