A Window to the Fatherland

We begin tonight’s edition of A Window to the Fatherland with Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from the book of his collected works.

Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:

On this day forty years ago the late Dr Bakhtiar was trying to reach general Gharebaghi, the Chief of Staff of Iran’s army who was having a meeting with his top brass.

Bakhtiar was anxious to know what the generals were discussing and believed the mission of American general Huyser in his trip to Iran was to neutralize the army. And as it happened, the army withdrew its support for the Bakhtiar government and the dark rule of Khomeini regime in Iran began.

The only person who supported Bakhtiar in those days was Dr. Sadighi whose name will remain in our history as a hero.

The regime’s Al Mayadin satellite TV has shown a film about the “freedom of Iranian women” and watching it can reveal the extent of its hypocrisy.

Today Empress Farah has issued a statement on the anniversary of the revolution which although very sad, it also gives hope to the Iranian for a better future.

Meanwhile inside Iran the regime has bussed in thousands of people into city squares to show their supposed support for it.

The Iranian people must remain vigilant about the many plots that are being drawn by both Western and Eastern powers for their country.

It was the collaboration of the reactionary religious forces and the communists who brought the currentmisery onto Iran and when we listen to the speeches of the regime’s leaders it becomes clear how far they are from the reality of the Iranian situation.

They need to be reminded about the fate of Saddam and Gadhafi so they do not think that the Iranian peoplewill remain idle and let them ruin their country at their whim.
