A Window to the Fatherland

We begin tonight’s edition of A Window to the Fatherland with Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from the book of his collected works.

Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:

There was a time that we used to start our dayswith thinking of and praising God and always told our children to do the same.

We were true believers even if we did not practice our religion fully.

Our politicians and officials were secular but had a faith in serving the people. Our Christians went to the Church and our Jews prayed in their synagogues.

But with the arrival of the Islamic republic regime all that changed and God has been introduced to us by the regime’s tyrannical leaders as a club wielding bully who does not know anything about love and humanity.

Khamenei has gathered a bunch of criminal mullahs around him and claims to represent God and our young people are wondering if this is the same beautiful and peaceful country that their parents were born into it.

The country is under international sanctions, airports around the world refuse to give fuel to our passenger planes and banks do not handle our transfers and close Iranian owned accounts and the Russian and Chinese are stealing our wealth, but the regime is worried about how many people went to Iraq for Arabain to visit the graves of the two infants of an Imam who lived 15 centuries ago!

What has happened to us the Iranians? Is 40 years of pain, calamities, wars, destructions and falling apart of a nation not enough?
