A Window to the Fatherland

We begin tonight’s edition of A Window to the Fatherland with Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from the book of his collected works.

Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:

In the first part of the program tonight we will look at the extent of corruption among the charlatans who call themselves the commanders of the Revolutionary Guard.

Later we find out what Javad Zarif has been saying about the US sanctions and show a few video clips about the reality of Iran’s economic life. We will have a few words for Khamenei in that respect.

And in the second part of the program we will have a talk with Poman Shabahang and Mrs. Shaghayegh, the producers of IraneFarda TV programs.

Homan and Poman are the twin brothers who have been working with us behind the scenes to get our programs going since its earlydays.

Poman: I have studied graphic arts and advertising for cinema and got to know IraneFarda TV while I was in Iran.

I also worked as a journalist and covered the student movement in Iran and was under a lot of pressure from the security forces, which was very normal for anyone reporting on protests in Iran.

Shaghayegh: I studied theatre and cinema in Iran and also acted and worked as a voice over artist. I was banned from work for my contributions to exiled TV stations and did not work for two years until I left Iran and met Homan and Poman at a UK university.

When I used to work for Iran’s national broadcasting organization, one day the security forces raided the studios and arrested all the staff in there and I was held in custody for three weeks and after that I suffered a lot of psychological pressure and could not work any more.
