We begin tonight’s edition of A Window to the Fatherland with Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from the book of his collected works.
Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:
Today has been the great day of a nationwide struggle of the Iranian people against the Khamenei-Revolutionary Guard regime of the mafia of corruption and deceit in Iran, as the bazaars of the country have once again shut their doors and gone on a protest strike, without even an organization behind their united action!
This type of struggle heralds even greater opposition to the regime in the coming days to finally break its back and the Iranian people achieve their freedom and rights.
We will also report on the story behind the arrest of Farhad Zaheri, the head of Seke Samen Gold Coin enterprise, who had stolen millions of dollars from his clients and fled the country.
It appears that this poor thief had not had anypowerful links with the regime’s top corrupt officials and was finally caught, while far bigger thieves like the former oil minster Rustam Ghassemi are wandering around in town and no one touches or questions them about their foreign bank accounts and the millions of dollars that are kept in them.
We will also report on the story of Jamal Khashoogi, the missing Saudi journalist who has disappeared after entering the Saudi consulate in Turkey.
Jamal has been a close friend of mine and we used to work together in Al Sharq Al Awsat daily together. He is from a Turkish clan who migrated to Saudi Arabia many years ago. He had recently been writing articles in opposition to Prince Mohammad Bin Salman’s reform program and got politically closer to the Muslim Brotherhood.
He had met with a woman in Washington who wanted him to divorce his wife and marry her and as such had gone to the consulate to arrange for necessary papers for his divorce.
I wish him well and hope he will be in good health and this story ends in peace.
The regime’s former culture minister Mr. Mohajerani has tweeted and condemned the Saudis for his disappearance, deliberately forgetting that the regime that he still supports has killed tens of journalists and currently holds tens of more of them in its prions. So, one must politely tell Mr Mohajerani to close his mouth!
In the second part of the program we will go back to the Ahwaz attack story and Ahmad Mansouri’s family, as well as Iran’s decision to join the FATF convention that bars countries from providing financial support for terrorist organizations.
