A Window to the Fatherland

We begin tonight’s edition of A Window to the Fatherland with Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from the book of his collected works.

Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:

Today is the anniversary of the tragic terrorist attack on the Twin Towers in New York in which thousands of innocent people were killed.

I clearly remember that day as my friend Ardalan rang me from his radio station in New York for an interview. Just another hour later he rang me hurriedly again and said that he thinks a light aircraft has accidentally hit one of the twin towers.

And as the day progressed the dimensions of the horror became more clear to the world.

The scenes of people throwing themselves out of the windows to avoid being burnt to ashes while knowing that only another type of death was waiting for them on the ground was just unimaginably horrific.

Or listening to the mobile phone messages of men and women on the hijacked planes telling their partners and children how much they love them were just heartbreakingly sad and devastating.

For weeks after that most inhumane act of terrorism parts ofmutilated bodies of its victims were still being dug out of the rubbles in the streets of New York.

This was the result of the Salafi Islamic extremism 17 years ago today, but it has not stopped since and only yesterday the same type of terrorists struck at the offices of the Libyan oil ministry and killed scores of innocent people.

If the Salafi terrorists carry their crimes by following Mullah Omar of Afghanistan and the murderous Taliban, in Iran the Mujaheddin organization set a similar precedence by committing suicide bombings that killed the senior religious leaders like the ayatollah Dastgheyb of Shiraz.

And it is all to do with following ideologies. Ideologies just kill and it does not matter if they are communists, fascists or Islamists. For them their ideology justifies any act of violence

In the second part of the program we will watch a report by the UK’s Cannel 4 TV about the Iranian Mujaheddin’s new camps in Albania.

Also, we will play a vide clip about how ignorant mullahs and priests who promote their reactionary ideas through voodoo and superstition cheat the public.

We will also update our viewers on the latest debates in theIranian Majles where the MP Mrs. Salahshouri has come under vicious attack from the thuggish editor of Kayhan daily Hossein Shariatmadari for telling the public how corruption, theft and nepotism among the regime’s officials have landed Iran and the Iranian people in their current miserable conditions.

Stay with us for this edition of A Window to the Fatherland and share it with your family and friends.
