A Window to the Fatherland

We begin tonight’s edition of A Window to the Fatherland with Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from the book of his collected works.

Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:

We continue the program with revealing more on the issue of the theft of an oil platform by some of the regime’s officials, where they were paid to buy and deliver it to Iran but instead got the $750m money, sold the oil platform to a South American country and fled Iran.

Now, one of our friends who have got more information about this massive corruption case in Iran has travelled to Britain from Belgium and will tell us the full story about this massive theft.

So, our special guest tonight is Mr. Kiani Ersi and would tell us about his background and his place of birth and how he got to know Mr. Shirani Tokabi and Nafiseh Mahmoodi and Dr. Taheri, the people involved in the stealing of the oil platform.

Please introduce yourself to us.

Kiani Ersi: My full name is Ezatollah Kiani Ersi and I was born in the city of Abadan ad my parents are from the Bakhtiari Clan. They were born in the Feriden whose true Persian name is Partika. All village names in this area of Iran have original Persian names, as the Bakhtiaris are true Parthians.

The main characteristics of the Bakhtiaris are their love for Iran and deep nationalistic feelings.

Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:

An individual who had been a left-winger in the past and imprisoned for his political views and then employed by the National Iranian Oil Company suddenly arrives in Spain and then ends up being part of this corruption by the regime’s officials. How could this happen?

Kiani Ersi: That is a valid question. In life sometimes certain events change one’s destiny and fate. One of my friends once told me that there is this man who is very educated in the science of oil exploration equipment and had previously served in Iran’s drilling engineering fields and now runs this private company of his own.

One day a man rang my home phone number and introduced himself by the name of Shirani. The next time we met in the lobby of a hotel. He looked like a decent gentleman and offered me to work with him and at the time I was under the impression that he wanted to involve me in the South Pars project.

We met several times more and he kept telling me that he was from a working class family but gradually I noticed that he was a man of many faces. The family of his wife was from the left-wing Fedayeen organization and seemed to be very good people but she herself looked like a gypsy.

Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:

I now wish to introduce a woman by the name of Nafiseh Mahmoodi, the daughter of Mr. Moghadam’s brother-in-law. Also, Dr. Ali Taheri whose bank account statement that I have seen shows that he has been receiving million of dollars in his account. Who is this woman who has been involved with Mr. Shirani Tokabi?

Kiani Ersi:Mrs. Nafiseh Mahmoodi is the stepdaughter of Mr. Dr. Taheri who happens to be a friend of mine. She is a very strong woman and Mr. Taheri would never say a NO to her.

On one occasion we went to Shanghai to buy some equipment and the director of the selling company asked me if I would like to have some bribe. I replied that this is a government project and I would never do this. I rang Mr. Taheri and told him about this offer of bribe and he praised me for my refusal, but that was the end of me in his business.

Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh:

Anyone who has had any business connection to this regime is corrupt. An individual tries to help Taheri and Nafiseh Mahmoodi and they try to corrupt him too.

Now, with the order of the intelligence unit of the Revolutionary Guard Mr. Dr. Taheri has been arrested and his assets seized.
