We begin tonight’s edition of A Window to the Fatherland with Dr. Alireza Nourizadeh reading one of his poems from the book of his collected works.

In tonight’s program we will pay tribute to the memory of two prominent Iranian women who recently passed away.
Then we will follow the program with the news of the disappearance of the notorious former Tehran prosecutor Saeed Mortazavi who is wanted to serve a two years prison sentence for his role in the murder of a civil right protestor, as it appears that he is now a fugitive.
The spokesperson for Iran’s judiciary, another notorious official of the despotic Islamic republic regime, the cleric Mohseni Ejeie has admitted that Mortazavi “is nowhere to be found in the country” to face justice after his conviction.
Mir Majid Taheri, the lawyer for one of the several victims of Mortazavi’s crimes in the Kahrizak detention center during the 2009 Green Movement uprisings, has said that he is unable to seek the enforcement of Mortazavi’s prison sentence because he does not have the case files and the justice ministry refuses to provide them to him.
Taheri has said that when a convicted criminal does not show up to serve his prison sentence there is no other legal definition for his act other than becoming a fugitive.
Hesamuddin Ashena, president Rouhani’s advisor has warned that Mortazavi carries a great deal of secret information with him about a decade long history of Iran’s justice system and must be accountable for his role in the miscarriages of justice during his tenure.
We will watch a vide clip in which the renowned composer Loris Tjeknavorian speaks about Iran’s ethnic and religious minorities.
We will also watch a video clip of what is happening in Iranian schools, while millions of dollars of funds are channeled into Iran’s religious seminaries to promote the most reactionary and backward education and brain washing of young religious students.
In the second part of the program we will review the latest news of the Syrian crisis and the comments made by US ambassador at the UN about how the Western countries will not allow the criminal regime of Assad get away with any further massacre of his own people. Plus the latest news on President Trump’s commitment to keep the US army in Syria.
And at the end we will update you on the conference of Arab leaders currently held in Bahrain.
